I painted this self portrait last year while staying at my friend's house in Maylands. I painted the self portrait directly from life with a mirror. The composition also has another kind of mirroring, with the diminishing painted reflections in the painting of the paintings as seen from the mirror. Because of this echoing, the painting could also have been suitable for the category with the theme of rhythm.
