I am a mixed media artist in Bunbury, often combining textiles and painting in one artwork.

This textile reflects a sense of history in the flour bags, that were saved and often re-used in depression times for family clothing and household goods such as bed covers, quilts and containers. The hand stitches echo the stitching used to secure the flour bags.
I love the selvedges used for the apron - usually cut off fabric lengths and discarded. They show the fabric company or designer’s name, and numbers indicate the order colours were printed to create the design.
