Inspired by my connection to nature, my creative practice centres on ideas of metamorphosis. The idea that nature can transform people is at the heart of everything I do. I enjoy the immediacy of sketching and painting and use a variety of media to investigate ideas of change, natural cycles and the contrasting extremes of dark and light, as well as the in-between. The process of making transforms these ideas into works that represent the structured and unstructured patterns I see in nature and the world around me.
