As a self-taught artist, I have attended many workshops over the years, but specialise in working with inks on silk and incorporating other textiles and salt crystals into my work to introduce a three-dimensional aspect.

I also enjoy using watercolours for relaxation, as silk painting requires so much patience and concentration. At any moment, a fatal bleed in the ink can destroy a piece, resulting in the artwork being discarded. A finished piece can take hours to complete from the initial stretching of silk on the frame to pinning onto foam board in preparation for framing.
