There are five categories in the Dardanup Art Spectacular Awards. 

The Dardanup Art Spectacular Awards is open to all Australian resident persons.  Artists may enter up to a total of two individual pieces of artworks in the same or separate categories. One individual piece of artwork cannot be submitted for two or more separate categories.

Dardanup residents can enter up to a total of three individual pieces of artworks in the same or separate categories. One individual piece of artwork cannot be submitted for two or more separate categories.

CATEGORY A
ANY SUBJECT ANY MEDIUM

Not including photography.
Works can be two dimensional (eg paintings, prints, drawings, etc) OR three dimensional (eg sculpture, jewellery, furniture, etc)

CATEGORY B
THEME: LIGHT & SHADE

The artist may interpret and convey the idea of ‘LIGHT & SHADE’ either as representational, or metaphorical, or symbolic, or abstract, or in any other way the artist chooses (ANY MEDIUM, not including photography) The judges will be awarding the themed prizes to those entries which address the theme in the most creative and imaginative way. Works can be two dimensional (eg paintings, prints, drawings, etc) OR three dimensional (eg sculpture, jewellery, furniture, etc)

CATEGORY c
PORTRAIT

Not including photography,
must be of a real person; who is known to the artist; and who has given written permission for their portrait to be entered and displayed. Must be two dimensional only. See portrait consent form.

CATEGORY d
PHOTOGRAPHY

All photography must be wholly the work of the entrant. Only images that have not been published nationally can be entered.

CATEGORY e
3 DIMENSIONAL ARTWORK

Must be three simensional.Includes sculpture, jewellery, furniture, pottery etc
