Watercolour uses water to float a thin veil of pigment across a surface (usually white paper) to create an image. It’s a process as simple - and as deceptively complex, as that.
White paper shines through the dried pigment, and in combination can create images that glow with light and shadow and a sense of freshness that is both beguiling and ephemeral.
I’ve been fascinated by light – particularly sunlight, all my life, and am now pursuing that sense of joy through watercolour painting. For me, it’s a journey without a destination, and a way of celebrating special moments in time.
