Mangano, Gemma

Living and working in the south west of Western Australia, Gemma specialises in oil painting, producing portraits, small landscapes and still lifes. Primarily drawn to the human condition, she strives to capture quiet moments in time that offer a depth of emotion in a single image – apprehension, anticipation, imagination, connection. She hopes to convey beauty and vulnerability through her works, which are contemplative, both in terms of the subject and in her expectations of the viewer. Gemma completed a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Fine Arts, at the University of Western Australia.
