My work addresses mental health issues via storytelling and symbolism. The artwork is whimsical, quirky, self-exploration into anthropomorphic characters, often manifesting as solemn women with their symbiotic symbolic partners . They are all self-portraits that represent a realisation of myself that is hidden to most. I want my work to encourage the consideration of the different ways mental illness can manifest for individuals and spark a conversation around the issues that affect many people.
